Narasaraopet and Ramapuram medical projects - Nov-12

Ramapuram medical project. Around 10kms away from Chirala town. Started during Tsunami time.
Medical support for fishing community. Not much medical facility in this area since it is far away from the town.
Although started during the Tsunami time, the medical support continued till date giving regular first aid help with a nurse - Ananda kumari.

Though the town is fast developing, these people are still backward. Still not much aware of hygiene conditions.  Besides medication, the nurse is giving them health awareness which is very much necessary here.

Government is also conducting medical camps here every now and then.

Pics from Shoshana medical centre, Yelamandha

The medical centre is located in Kodela sivaprasad colony. One of the slum areas on the outskirts of Narasaraopet town. People here are mainly rickshaw pullers and daily workers. Its a mixed community.

Nurse - Padmavathi
The nurse here is Mrs.Padmavathi. She had participated in many health programs conducted by the Government and she had the experience of working as a health worker  and got best worker award twice from the district collector . She is quite familiar with these slum areas and people here. People are happy with her first aid services. Not only at the center, she is going around the area distributing medicine for those who couldn't reach the center.
