DISTRIBUTION OF SEWING MACHINES AT GAMELA BAZAR, VIJAYAWADA BY                                                                                       CDS-SHOSHANA

Distribution of sewing machines at Gamela Bazar, Vijayawada has opened a new pathway of livelihood for women from vulnerable backgrounds especially waste pickers  who are single parents.

After successfully completing the free sewing training, these women are now equipped with both skills and tools to begin earning.

It reduces their dependence on irregular and unsafe work and provides an opportunity for steady income through stitching and tailoring services.

With continued encouragement and support in accessing small tailoring opportunities these women can gradually build sustainable livelihoods and improve the well being of their families.

 Without work, machines may remain unused. so we  are thinking of basic materials support for them like cloth, thread etc. An initial small fund which helps them to start. Encourage them for first few months and check if they are stitching regularly.

 Joining of New Group of Women -  CDS-Shoshana Sewing Centre, Ravipadu - Narasaraopet

We are happy to share that a new group of women has joined the sewing training program at Shoshana Sewing Centre, Ravipadu. Most of these women come from agricultural labour families, where income is often uncertain and seasonal.

Sewing can be a practical livelihood option, especially  during non-farming seasons. It enables them to earn an additional income from home,  support their families, meet household needs and improve their quality of life.

Shoshana hopes that his new group of women will successfully complete the training and use their skills to build a better future for themselves and their families.
