Nirmala & Kamala ( Tailoring & Embroidery instructors) with the new group of women

Nirmala, our sewing instructor, the very first sewing project started by Shoshana in the year 2000. She is working with us from the beginning. She was in a desperate situation when we first met her. Her husband is an alchoholic and left her. She has 3 small children then and  learning stitching with a group. Martha happened to meet her in 1998 and she wanted to help her and other needy women like her for their self help.

Nirmala started working with Shoshana in the year 2000.For the last 15 years she trained more than 150 needy women. She still has more women who are interested to take the class.

  Kamala, the instructor for Painting and Embroidery  is the daughter of Nirmala. She is also a trained nurse. So far she has students who are interested to learn Emb and Painting besides stitching. In future if there is a possibility she wants to work as a nurse in one of our medical centers.
