Vijayawada is a moderately big city but there are still areas where there are people who are in need of First aid help.  Bhanu nagar is one of those areas where people from different parts of state especially from north coastal areas of A.P moved here for work.

Majority of the people here are  vendors,building construction workers,rickshaw pullers etc. Inorder to support them with first aid medical help Shoshana started giving regular medical services from the year 2013 on the request of a local society.

First started with only First aid medical help but over the years more patients are asking for Diabetic and Blood Pressure medication.

The nurse Mrs. Sandhya has the experience of working in a private hospital for quite sometime now and this experience helps her in running the first aid centre on her own.

Pedanandipadu  village is a major agricultural village with around 6000 population. The main occupation here is agriculture.

Inorder to help the needy women in this area Shoshana started Sewing project in Appapuram village which is close to Pedanandipadu in the year 2003band later moved to Pedanandipadu which is a bigger area  with  more needy women who are interested in  self help programs.

The instructor Mrs. Sivakumari is a tailor basically and after joining in Shoshana she has been training women in Stitching and embroidery for the last 13 years. She has regular apprentice from her students those who work under her supervision before starting their own work.

Our very first Medical project, started in the year 2000. Shoshana has been giving first aid help in this village for the last 15 years. Changed areas but has been a regular medical support in this village. People here are mostly from fishermen community and daily workers so this small medical support is of great help for them.

Rajakumari, nurse has been in charge of this project for more than 10 years now. She gives only first aid help since she has majority of patients who are in need of general medication. Of course she helps patients to consult the necessary doctor if they are in need of long term medical help.

The very first sewing project started in Guntur in the year 2000 and it has been helping more than 150 needy girls and women in this area for the last 16 years .

The instructor Mrs.Nirmala has been in charge of the sewing centre from the beginning and her daughter Kamala who is also a trained nurse has been supporting her in teaching basic painting  and embroidery from a couple of years.

Now Nirmala has women from other  areas , close to Guntur those who are in need of help for self help training programs . After finishing the training for the present group of women, she is planning to move to other needy area as soon as a possible where as Kamala wants to give medical support in future.

 This might be the last group of women who get help in this area. So far many women benefited from this area and also successfully having their own job.

Martha's first visit to the projects starting with a sewing centre. She did a general supervision of the project and later distribution of Sewing machines and certificates to the students who are going to finish their training program  soon.

The instructor Anitha is a tailor too besides teaching the students. Towards the end of the training program  she is taking in students as apprentice  to work under her supervision so that it would be a practice for them and also earn some money before starting their own business.

The present group of women is ready to leave so in the presence of Martha we distributed sewing machines to them on a small micro credit and also training ceritificates  which would be supporting for them for their future job trails.

The visit was completed on a happy note, the instructor successfully trained the women and they are going to finish their training end of Nov-16. Shoshana provided them with a sewing machine . Happy to see them as independent women already.

Happy to inform that our M.D for Shoshana, Martha B Foerch arrived safely in India. She came from U.S.A  Long tiresome journey but she managed successfully. First visit to Chirala in this year 2016 and our visiting to  all the projects starts from Monday i.e 7th Nov.

Inuguration of Medical Project at Raavipadu, Narasaraopet town.

New medical project  at Raavipadu village  . Shoshana is taking care of this project in Narasaraopet town where it has been running sewing centres for needy women.

The present project is mainly to give first aid help for the needy people in this area who are mainly agricultural workers. First aid help is especially important for people in remote areas, where emergency assistance can be some distance and time away.

Main aim of this project is to care for an  injured or sick person prior to treatment by medically trained personnel like minor injuries which  require only first aid intervention, and no further treatment..

Second male nurse in our organization. He is working in a private hospital in Narasaraopet town and has ten years experience as a nurse. He is from Raavipadu village and is familiar with the people here.
