Happy to share some pics from our 25th Anniversary Celebration of CDS-Shoshana at  our sewing project in Pedanandipadu, Guntur Dt.  Martha's visit to India in the year 2025.

The sewing instructors Mrs. Sivakumari and Saranya along with the sewing trainees felicitated Mrs. Martha - M.D- Shoshana for her unconditional support to many needy women for the last 25 years.

The beneficiaries expressed their happiness and heartful gratitude for all the donors for helping hundreds of women for their self help.

Did you know that this project has trained more than 300 needy women till date, Many school dropouts and agricultural workers have learned how to sew. Majority of them  put their skill to good use and opened their own tailoring shops and earning their living.

Thanks to all the donors who helped us in every step in bringing a difference in the lives of these needy women. Your generous support is helping them to move from poverty and unemployment to self sufficiency.

The tailoring centre has a significant impact in this community. Several young girls and housewives who are mostly school dropouts are learning how to sew for their families as well as to earn their living. Your support is making this possible. Thank you for making a difference in their lives.

 CDS-Shoshana sewing centre - Gaddipadu, Guntur.

The first sewing project of Shoshana started in the year 2000 in Guntur. For the last 25 years the sewing project is running successfully training hundreds of needy women in Guntur helping them to earn their living.

Mrs. Nirmala is the sewing instructor at this centre from the very beginning and she has been supporting needy women to financially settle in their lives. The present group of women started their class in July-2025. All the women belong to backward community coming from a very humble background.

After finishing the class they will be provided with a sewing machine and necessary tools to start their work as a tailor.

Heartfull thanks to all the donors who made it possible to train hundreds of needy women for the last twenty five years to be independent and earn their living.

Sharing a few latest pictures from Shoshana sewing centre, Nagaralu.

All the women are housewives and looking for an opportunity to work on their own. Husbands are daily wage workers like painters, construction workers and coolies.  In order to help the family, these women are looking forward for work as soon as they finish the class.

The present group of women started the sewing class last year in Aug-2024 and two of them are almost at the end of class.  Two other women finished early and in their place two new ones joined.

Just want to share a few pics from our medical project at a waste picking area, Chirala.

 Majority of the people here are  waste pickers so exposed to heavy pollution and harsh conditions. People mostly have infections due to poor sanitation and drinking water.

Shoshana is providing basic first aid help for this backward community including vitamin supplements and free B.P pressure and sugar checkups.

Some of the local people provided with a  room where we can operate medical centre with a regular nurse.

 CDS-Shoshana Medical Centre, Swarna

Swarna village is one of the rural areas located in Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh. Approximately around 2600 families living in the village.  Most of the people are depended on agriculture and for other economic activities or medical emergencies they go Chirala which is the nearest town.

To help the people with the first aid access especially for older people and children, Shoshana started primary health centre in the year 2012 for one of the backward communities in Swarna village.  The nurse Mr.Jaya raju has an experience of 25 yrs in medical field working in different private hospitals. He has been associated with Shoshana for more than 10 yrs now.
