The Centre is running very well. It is well known in the area so most people are utilizing the medical help.

The Nurse Ms.Rani is very capable in handling the cases. She is even taking care of the monthly check ups with the pregnant ladies.

Most patients are with regular problems , now and then she has special cases.

Want to share a couple of pics from my latest visit to our Shoshana Medical Centre at P.T.Parru village.

 Most of the medical centres are open in the evening time because of the hot weather here in our place.

The nurse Mrs.Veni is mostly going around the area since the old people are unable to come to the centre. I heard that most of them are in need of infusions.

Visit to Karamchedu Medical Project

Hello to everyone

Projects started again after the summer break. Temparatures are still very high but work has to go on.
Hoping to have rains soon.


Yesterday i went to one of our medical projects. Shoshana Medical centre at Karamchedu village.
Few pics from that place.

In this hot weather, mostly with fever and other related problems it is very helpful for them to have regular medical support around.

Happened to meet a girl at the medical centre. She is  from around the area. She has problem with her nose. Heard that its  a birth defect. Already had two surgeries to rectify the defect. She needs surgery in future too. Its an expensive surgery. Parents are daily workers.They can't afford to go for that. So far she is ok. No other health problems.

Happy to inform that Shoshana now is able to  start  a monthly pension to all our co-workers which is

definitely a help for them when they are not able to work any more.

This is possible only because of the continuous support from many friends.

Pics of some of the women who finished their tailoring course and got their sewing machines.

 Name of the student is Bujji. Unmarried woman, staying with her parents. Mother is a house wife and father is a coolie. Living in a joint family along with ther aunts and their families.

She herself is a daily worker at chilli yard. Shoshana's sewing project at Guntur helped her in getting her training program as well as providing her with a machine.

Besides working as a daily worker in fields she now has another option of self employment.

 Same with another woman named Dhana lakshmi. She is a widow and has a son who is married and doing a small job. She is staying along with her son's family.  For many years she was a daily worker and now because of health problem she is at home.

Instead of sitting idle, she utilized the training program at Shoshana which helped her to get self employed. Now she is working from at home. She is independent now and is supporting her family.

Located in Giripuram area. All the ladies are from the same area and from needy background. Daily workers especially building construction coolies. Started in Aug-13 and half of the training program is over.

Besides the sewing training, Shoshana is also doing medical help in this area. Helping poor women with health problems who are in desperate need of surgeries or any other medical emergencies.
The sewing instructor Ms.Hemima is taking  care of those who are in need of medical aid.

One of our sewing projects in Guntur recently changed their place.  Different house but same area - Venkatapaiah colony, Guntur.

Anitha is the instructor for the batch and these batch of women started their training in Feb-13 so its almost an year and they are about to finish their training course at the end of this month.

Before they finish the program i wanted to meet them to know about their future plans and Shoshana is always helpful in supporting them setting up their own business.
