NEW APPLICATION FOR MEDICAL CENTRE – BURLAVARI PALEM

Request for Medical project came from Harijan waada, Burla vari palem.
Burlavaripalem is a village which is 7kms from Chirala town.
It has both Hindu and Christian communities but the request for medical help came specially from the Harijan wada which is mostly with Christians.

Harijanwaada has around 500 houses with 2000 people. Majority are daily workers in Paddy and corn fields and  few have cattle so selling milk is also an income source for some people.

There is no medical facility in this area like medical shop or primary health centre. The nearest medicine availability is 3kms from the village.

The villagers looked for a nurse from their area itself. Name of the nurse is Mrs.Mariyamma. 40 yrs of age. She is working in a private hospital in Chirala. Her husband is also a daily worker. She has 2 daughters and one son.

She is from this area and she is familiar with all the people here. People come up to her sometimes when they need injections or first aid help so the villagers thought she would take  good medical care for the people.

Mrs.Martha, M.D of Shoshana, Germany has been to this area in her recent visit and she approved to open regular medical support in this area so depending on the room availability for the centre and other arrangements, we are going to open the centre as soon as possible.
