Martha with the instructor, Vasantha and the students (Guntur)

Pics from Shoshana sewing centre, Nagaralu, Guntur.

Vasantha is the tailoring instructor. She has her own business as a tailor for the last 15 years and also has experience of  giving training classes.
She started working with Shoshana from 2011 in helping needy women in backward areas. She is a widow and has a son who is  a computer student. She is living with her mother and is working as a full time trainer in Shoshana sewing centre, Nagaralu.

The women, selected for the free sewing class are also below middle class people. Girls who are drop outs and coolies.

Some of these women already started stitching for their neighbors. Here they have a chance to earn some money while they learn since most of them are living on daily wages.
