Visit to Shoshana sewing centre, R.R.pet, Vijayawada.

Instructor Mrs.Srivani with her new batch of women for tailoring and embroidery course

Usually she has 10 students as a batch with 5 in the morning and 5 in the afternoon. Since i wanted to have a picture of the whole batch, all were present at the same time. One of our very first sewing centres and almost 200 students were trained here.

The present batch of women are mostly working. Different occupation like coolies, washer woman, domestic helpers. Even though it is difficult for them to adjust the time they are interested to join the course with the intention that besides their regular work this proper training skills would help them for their better earnings.
