CDS-Shoshana Medical projects in different districts of Andhra Pradesh

Medical help in rural areas is extremely important because it directly improves the health and overall development of villages. Many people in rural areas delay treatment due to lack of access.

Regular check-ups help identify diseases like diabetes, hyper tension and infections at an early stage.

Access to first aid and immediate treatment can save many lives.  Our Shoshana health workers and medical centres educate villagers about hygiene, sanitation, nutrition and disease prevention.

Awareness reduces the spread of communicable diseases.

When rural people get proper treatment locally, they don't need to travel long distances or crowded hospitals

 CDS-Shoshana Sewing projects at Narasaraopet and Angalakuduru 

Our Shoshana Sewing projects at Narasaraopet and Angalakuduru,  offering skill based sewing training specially for needy agricultural labour women who struggle with irregular income and seasonal work. This program aims to provide them with an alternative livelihood that supports their families through out the year.

This initiative helps empower women who work hard in the fields yet face economic challenges. By equipping them with a new skill we are helping, create a long term livelihood opportunities for them and their families.

 25 Years of Empowerment - Shoshana Sewing Project, Gaddipadu, Guntur.

Heartfelt congratulations to the Shoshana sewing project, Gaddipadu, Guntur on completing 25 remarkable years of service, skill building and women's empowerment.

For a quarter of a century, the project has transformed the lives of countless women especially those from under privileged communities by skilled tailoring and embroidery training, financial independence and dignity through sustainable livelihoods.

Congratulations to the entire Shoshana team, all the trainees past and present and everyone who contributed to this incredible journey.  May the next 25 years continue to inspire and empower even more lives.

CDS- Shoshana Medical help at Vittal nagar, Chirala for the Waste Picker Community.

Shoshana started giving medical assistance at Vittal nagar in the year 2010 and for the last 15 years, we has been giving a long term  medical support for the rag picking community. These communities often face extreme vulnerability so small interventions can bring major change.

The first step we did was gathering the basic information about the area like the number of families and the common illnesses they usually have . Found out there was no existing medical support in that area.

The essential items we provide at the project is First aid supplies like bandages, pain relief, guauze etc

Skin infection creams, multi vitamins, deworming tablets and basic medications for fever, cough, allergies, diarrhoea along with free Blood pressure and Sugar checkups.

Our Shoshana health centres are at the basic level staffed with a nurse. Majority of our medical centres have female nurses,  these two areas has a male nurse which is quite convenient even for the men to visit the centre. 

Basic medical services help identify common illnesses like fever, infections, diabetes and blood pressure issues before they become serious. Early detection prevents complications and reduces treatment costs. This prevents serious complications like stroke or heart disease.

Villages often lack nearby hospitals so the basic help, Shoshana offers ensures them quick response to critical issues and treatment to minor injuries.

Also helpful to track their diabetic and blood pressure checkups from time to time.

Yesterday on 17th Nov-2025, we had a joyful felicitation for Mrs. Martha B Foerch CEO- Shoshana, Germany by  Ms. Jones Manikonda, Director Little Hope Trust, Vijayawada and Ms. Hemima - Sewing Instructor, Shoshana sewing centres, Vijayawada on behalf of  all the beneficiaries of Shoshana sewing centres, Gamela bazar, Giripuram and Auto nagar Gate for her dedication and long standing self less  service in uplifting hundreds of  under privilized women and families empowering them through free tailoring centres for the past 25 years enabling them building their practical skills to earn a steady income.
